Mishka (RKF reg'd name Velisa Dana) was bred by Aleksandr Aleev & Marina Mikhailova of Vladivostok, Russia [Iz Doma Haritona Kennel]. We imported her to Canada at the age of 8 months. After adjusting to her completely new life and surroundings, she has grown into a wonderful and truly special member of our family. She bonded strongly with our 10 year old daughter almost immediately.
Mishka is quiet and relaxed in the home, but quick to alert us to any strange noises or activity she hears occurring outside. She is highly territorial. She is an athletic dog who can easily walk 10km with us and enjoys every minute of it. When she is outside, she notices what's happening around the property before I do; she is incredibly observant and watchful.
She is accepting of friendly strangers, but will not hesitate to let us know if she finds someone untrustworthy or "off". We have put a great deal of time and effort into socializing her since she arrived from Russia. She does not accept strange dogs as friends, but is happy to ignore neutral dogs and carry on about her business when we are out in public or at a dog show. She has an incredible on/off switch.
Her temperament is well balanced and she exhibits no unprovoked aggression or instability. She is calm and neutral with friendly strangers and neutral dogs who do not invade her space (when in public). She is highly intelligent and an analytical thinker; however she is not a people pleaser and can be stubborn. This is the nature of the breed and is to be expected.
Mishka has quickly stolen our hearts and is loved by not only us, but our extended family as well. We truly feel she is a 'once in a lifetime dog'. She is very special, with many wonderful traits we hope she will pass on to her offspring.
Mishka earned her UKC Champion title in April 2019. She has won multiple Best of Breed, Best Female & First Place Central Asian Shepherd with UKC. She is currently the #1 Central Asian Shepherd in the UKC.
Participating in Conformation (showing) demonstrates that your rare breed dog is able to be controlled around other dogs and handled by unfamiliar judges. It proves the dog conforms to the breed standard and displays no disqualifying faults or aggression. It also strengthens the bond and understanding between the dog & owner, and shows the dedication of the owner to the betterment of the chosen breed.

Do NOT be fooled by breeders who promise they produce healthy pups... but cannot show you a single health test which has been perfomed on their breeding dogs.
ASK FOR PROOF before spending your hard earned money. A GOOD breeder invests in proving their breeding dogs are healthy BEFORE breeding! Period!
